About Mapflap

The Name

Map Flap, what's it all about? Well, the name of this little project has two main reasons behind it. Firstly, I have to admit, it just sounds really cool. It's like those two words were meant to go together, right? And secondly, on a more serious note, it reflects my passion. As a Geoinformatics Engineer, I love applying Artificial Intelligence to all sorts of data, especially if it involves a geospatial dimesnion! Satellite images, GNSS data, but also text, and time series are data I'm passionate to work with. The idea behind this project is to gradually build a small digital world to share my passion.

The Aim

The aim of this project, as said, is to build a little digital world to show which is my passion. More concretely, I will use Mapflap to share some little works and experiments with any interested human, animal or martian equipped with an internet connection. Have fun and thanks for dropping by. 👾
